Riding Grandpa's Horses

We went on our first horse ride as a family a few weeks ago. The weather was perfect and both kids absolutely loved it (They are definetely my kids). I can't believe that it had been three years since I had been on a horse! We had so much fun! Thanks Chris.

Happy Birthday Chase!!!!

My baby turned ONE on 9/11!!! I can't believe how fast this year has gone. I still think of him as my little newborn! He has gotten so big. He has had to grow up so fast to keep up with his big sister. We had a birthday party for Chase and Olivia (Tiff's baby who turns one on the 19) They each got their own birthday cake and had so much fun eating it!!

The Three Amigo's

My friend Lynzi came over with her twin boys, Frazier and Eli. They are two months younger than Chase and they are almost the same size! They had this cute little face the whole time they were here. They didn't know what to think about Candice. Like always, she had to be the center of attention. It was fun to see Lynzi and her kids.

Summer Fun

It has been a while since my last post so I thought I would do a little update. Chase is finally crawling and is everywhere! Candice is still a little firecracker that does not slow down for a moment. Dallas isworking 4-10's so we are glad to have him home for three day weekends and I am busy with the kids and my garden.

We have been so busy lately trying to get our yard done. We finally planted grass and I thought the hard work was done. Little did I know that I was going to be the one moving water to keep it wet all the time-talk about a full time job. It will be well worth it when we see the fruits of our labors.

While we were working on the yard Dallas got a little carried away. He came in the house and asked if I wanted a fish pond in our back yard. I told him no and he said, "Okay we won't have a fish pond." and left. After a while I looked out the window and saw a hole the size of a swimming pool in my back yard! He decided to dig a fire pit-the kind you actually sit in! It is the ugliest thing I've ever seen! To make a long story short, I was not happy and we got in a huge arguement over it. After all was said and done the hole is still there! So if you have any ideas as to what I can do, please feel free to let me know!

I've been Tagged!

Okay, so I was tagged like two months ago and haven't done it yet. So this is just for you Elise!
1. Where did you meet your husband? We met on a blind date thanks to Elise and Brandon. Even though our dads worked together while we were growing up, I had never even heard of him before our date!
2. How long did you date before you got married? About two years.
3.How long have you been married? Four and a half years.
4.What does he do that surprises you? He is full of surprises. You never know what is going to come out of him or what he will say or do next. It makes life really fun!
What is your favorite feature of his? I love everything about him, especially his eyes and his hands!
6.What is his best quality? He is a great leader. He knows what he wants and he knows how to get it.
7.Does he have a nickname for you? Honey
8.What is his favorite food? Steak, pasta salad, and his famous potatoes.

10.When & where did you first kiss? After about our fifth date (which was to Lagoon), when he dropped me off in my drive way.
11. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? Anything active and with our kids. We also love board games (even though it gets a little too competitive sometimes)
12. Do you have any children? Yes! One girl and one boy.

16. What is his favorite music? Rock and country, but he really listens to anything.

20. Who do you tag? Amber and Julie

Late Easter Pic

For Easter our Bryce Canyon trip was moved to Mesquite thanks to the weather. (Even though the weather wasn't much better there). It was mostly cold and rainy but we still had fun. It was a beautiful day Sunday so we went to Snow Canyon to go hiking. Candice loved climbing the rocks with her dad. We first went to the sand dunes and buried Candice. This was the only picture I got because the batteries in my camera died! I was so mad! We still had a lot of fun.

Candice and her best friend

This is our cat Milo. He is the best cat in the world. Candice can do anything she wants with him and he lets her! We love him.

Sunderland's Dairy

Candice went with my sister, Sue, and her preschool to the Sunderland dairy. She has so much fun. She kept trying to kiss the cows. The other kids (who are all twice as old as her) wouldn't touch the cows until they saw Candice doing it. She thought she was just as big as them!

First time with Foam Rollers!

So I decided to try Candice's hair in foam rollers. (She just had to wear the earrings!) She looked like little Orphan Annie!

Best Buds

These two are the best of friends. Candice knows that she can do no wrong in her daddy's eyes, anything she wants, she gets.

Our Little Dude

Here's our little guy getting ready for summer. This has been one long winter. I think we are all ready for the warm weather.

Tubing

Candice and Dallas went tubing down our lane. It was bitter cold that day so the fun was cut short. They had fun but Dutch (our dog) kept trying to catch a ride to.

Our Little Cowboy

This is the pony that Grandma and Grandpa Sorensen gave Chase for Christmas. He loved it, but I think Candice likes it a lot more at this point. She is in for quite a surprise when he is big enough to claim it.

Yes, it's true!

I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it for myself. This is my dad drinking Coke! We were at Disneyland and they didn't sell Pepsi products there. He said he didn't like it, but he drank the whole thing!
